Student Aspirations

During the first few weeks of school my students and I will be exploring our classroom and all the wonderful resources within it, as well as learning the routines and responsibilities that support a positive, rigorous, student-powered learning environment. We will work together to build classroom activity centers and to generate meaningful community rules. These democratic rules will be the framework that supports each student’s efforts to achieve their individual and collective hopes and aspirations as learners this year. I will also be meeting with all parents over these first weeks to find out what aspirations they hold for their child during the school year and to learn about any other important family or student details that they feel would support a smooth and stress free transition into my classroom.
